Members rokn4jc
I don't normally post here, I am mainly a guitarist but maybe someone here can help. I've got an old Ibanez Roadster bass, I believe from the early 80's. It has a P/J pickup configuration, and I believe it is an RS-824 model. Anybody have any idea what these thing's are worth, or where I can get additional info. I am thinking of selling it.

Members brake
This thread reminded me that I actually own a Roadstar II. I've been playing upright and when I want to play electric I play the musicman....I need to dig out the Ibanez when I get home from work! thanks! Members rokn4jc
This is exactly it right here: It is kind of heavy and a bit bulky to me, but I am a guitarist. Think it is worth hanging onto ?

Members rokn4jc
Actually it does sound pretty good, and with a good setup, would probably play decent as well. Again, I am a guitarist, and this is pretty much the only bass I have ever really played. A Jazz bass always feels better to me, but I like the thump I get from the front split p/u w/ch I guess is more of a p-bass type of sound. I have thought about maybe refinishing it and upgrading the pickups, but I didn't want to ruin the value if it had any.

Those pups kick major butt. They are the same as in the RB650 posted above, and my RB630 has the same P (only) in it. Great tone from it, I wouldn't off them were it mine. I had a spare set of those pups for ages, but eventually gave them to Trauma Luna to use in his bass.
Members rokn4jc
Well, what about a refinish ? There a few dings and chips here and there, allthough I think it gives it some character. I remember seeing a picture back in the 80's of Iron Maiden's bassist with one, and that may have been why I bought it (got it at a pawn shop for cheap). Couldn't find anything on Ebay, but I am guessing a value around $200. Is that about right ?
Members LouSpaceMonkey
You should send it to me here in VA for a full and through appraisal. Fine Print: (It should be noted that a full and through appraisal could take years, and LSM Industries is not responsible for the return of your bass)
