The first one was great, one of my very favorite movies ever. It resolved itself perfectly at the end IMO and any sequel to it will bring it down.

Wow really? I thought it was one of the crappiest films of the decade. And not even a fun crappy. Just bad.

Seems to me like Will Smith doesn't need the money, and thats the only reason it hasn't been done, yet. Actually, thats almost exactly what the story said.

Probably so. I'm just saying- those movies were {censored}ing atrocious. The Fresh Prince seems to like the white meat, in the last few flicks, I've noticed... :cop::cop:

I didn't think Seven Pounds was that bad. Hancock was exactly what I expected to be. I was entertained for a few hours
:idk:

S.P. to me was like the remake of Friday the 13th awful.

I wanted to punch the screen and tell Rosario to get nekkid or something.

Seven Pounds is to dramatic movies like Nickelback is to rock music. To justify one with "it is what it is" and write the other off as being horrible is to misunderstand one (or both).

Safe money. Blockbusters are way more expensive than they used to be.

Exactly. And, FWIW, I'm ok with that. It takes the money that comes in from these blockbusters to justify the expense of distributing independent movies that aren't a sure thing.

Beyond that, people go to movies for different reasons. I'm not going to see Transformers 2 for the mental stimulation, just like I won't be watching Little Miss Sunshine for the explosions.
