Members ezstep
CIT declared bankruptcy, after we (gov't) gave them over two billion dollars that will not be repaid. We can't take many hits like that.
Members RSBro
Just light some C4, let it fall off into the sea. Crazy place y'all have over there. Although I'm not one who thinks Texas state income tax is too far in the future... or property taxes are just going to keep going sky-high to pay for all the non-property owners, which is no real difference... I think the rest of the US should get to vote on what happens to Cali. You crazy kids obviously can't take care of yourselves! In all honesty though that really does suck for you. I don't see or think of you as a bum or someone who's just on the state's tit, either. Just forced theft, with no permission at all. Kthxbye! {censored}, even the IRS pays back Interest on funds they take and eventually have to pay back...

Members bbl
Savvy taxpayers can get around the state's maneuver by increasing the number of personal withholding allowances they claim on their employer tax forms, said Brenda Voet, a spokeswoman for the state's Franchise Tax Board. "People can get out of this," she said, noting that most people would have to change their allowances through their employers. California's budget leaders are banking on the hope that most won't. I think we all should do this. We'll keep our own money and make a statement.
