Members FreestyleIntruder
...ever since I put the active system in my Precision, I've been thinking about painting it black. It's candy apple red, but it sounds like a black bass now. Does that make any sense?
Members bassplayer7770
Now, I've heard of a bass sounding dark, but I'm not sure how a bass can sound black...

See, generally speaking I'd say that things like synesthesia are complete bollocks, and anyone who claims to experience it is a congenital liar. OTOH, I do sort of associate black basses with more of a modern, bright, punchy and aggressive sound.

Members Jugghaid
I haven't tried it, but I don't see any reason to use something like that. Maybe if you tried one you would. East makes terrific preamps. Better than Sadowsky IMO, and I've owned both.
