Members roger33
There are so many available. I don't have the luxury of trying every one of them. What strap do you recommend that's comfortable? I don't mind spending a little bit of change on a good one as long as I don't need to buy another because it starts to hurt my shoulder. I'm kind of anal about buying right the first time and not having to buy again. My bass is a G&L SB-2.

On par or better IMO than most straps you find at a guitar store. You owe it to yourself to buy one of those. I bought four!!

Members 82Daion
I have a tan, mildly padded, suede-backed Levy's 3" leather strap that you can have for the cost of shipping. Very comfortable, even with heavy basses. It's been used and sorta shows it, but I sold the basses I used it with a while ago, so it's just taking up space here. I'd like to see it go somewhere where it'll get used. PM me if you're interested.
Members bassman1956
I love the Levy 4" suede/suede straps. Soft and flexible enough for my shoulder and neck. Wide enough with suede grip o keep from slipping, even with neck-heavy basses they work pretty well for me. Bought the last few in a batch order of 6, various colors. Every bass gets it's own strap, then I don't have to worry which buttons or locks, what length, where the hell is it, etc.
Members xbassman
The last 2 straps I bought were from Leather Bound Co. Here's the ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/henry9716?_rdc=1 I don't think you can find a better deal anywhere on a hand made leather strap. I contacted him to make this strap for me to match one I had bought for my daughter and he came through with flying colors. ( Here's a link to his website. There are a few examples there as well: http://leather-bound.com/index.html

Members perrydabassman
Guitar Center has these three inch straps with a neoprene piece where your shoulder falls on the strap. It stretches a little. It is the most comfortable strap I have ever used.
Members Super Bass
Italia straps are nice and come in extra wide for heavy-bass comfort2 for $75 I agree on the Italia straps. I have two of them and my brother has one. They're very well made and the thick leather makes them very comfortable.
