Members bassman1956
Hey All, Using Cubase LT, which came with my handy-dandy Zoom H4 stereo digital recorder, I'm running into some issues. I'm playing around with some stuff the neighbor and I did before my lay-up. One of the first issues I have is that what we recorded playing was in stereo, and it shows up as stereo, but as stereo confined to one track. Hmmm... So, if I use one of the varios EQ's, what I do to the R is automatically done to the L, and vice versa, so there's no real way to treat them separately. I'm looking for a way where I can separate the R and L as separate tracks. Is there a way? I even considered duping the track again, then erasing the R on one and the L on the ther, but I haven't found a way to do that yet. I also have ACID at my disposal. It seemed a little better to build songs electronically once I have a file, and Cubase seems like it will be better for dealing with the raw info as I upload off my 4G memory card. Is this a reasonable consensus? I'd really like to get a handle on this, and I have about 8 songs worth messing with. (Well, and about 8 that aren't too! )
Members gspointer
I don't have any files nearby to check, but, ah hell, let me fire up cubase and look for a stereo track.
Members gspointer
Sorry, I have soe tracks somewhere that have a stereo track in them, but all I can find right now are 8 track (mono) band practices... I will look around a bit more, but it isn't looking too good.

Members fretless
LT or LE ? you should be able to import the audio onto 2 mono tracks , try adding the tracks , selecting left and right for each and importing the audio , you should also be able to export that track into 2 mono tracks back into Cubase . check the manual it should be in there . The import source is at the top of the expanded channel or found in the "inspector"
Members FreestyleIntruder
Select your stereo track, export it as an audio mixdown and in the options select to export it as dual mono tracks
Members Renfield
Copy the track, pan one hard left and the other hard right?? Sorry, I don't use Cubase, I found it too much of a pain to use compared to Reaper.
