My wife worked for a bankruptcy attorney for a while. Sometimes making tons of money just means larger payments.

I am pretty sure this would be the case for me.

Making about ten times what I did 20 years ago and I still always seem to be broke.

... should give me a couple mil and watch me demonstrate how it reduces anxiety and stress.

Like people who tell me I'd be bored if I didn't have to come into work everyday..

'oh it would be fun for a while, then you'd get bored'..

lemme try..

I've never heard anyone argue money doesn't reduce stress and solve problems. That's still very different than buying love or happiness.

I used to think like this too.
:D

You give legal advice in your jocks from your couch while watching bold and the beautiful don't you?!

Yes. Before that I just sat on the couch watching the bold and the beautiful (and building amps and working on basses...), but I got bored of not working.

They also aren't up on the latest research. It shows that, up to a certain amount, more money does indeed make one happier. Above that amount, it doesn't seem to make much difference.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that "Money can't buy happiness" is a canard promulgated by the wealthy to help keep the riffraff in their place.

That's what I thought, too, until it happened to me.

Me too!

edit: But I also think that everyone should get the opportunity to try it themselves. Just because it wasn't a good long term solution doesn't mean it wasn't temporarily awesome.

Withpout money yoiu have any of the stuff that allows for real happyness. This includes food to eat, a place to stay, clothes, toys, basses, guitars, ability to help friends in need. Money does buy the stuff that allows for happyness. To include being able to afford to do stuff with friends even if thats jsut watching tv or listening to tunes cause you gotta but a tv or tune player.
