Members Sonic1
My wife worked for a bankruptcy attorney for a while. Sometimes making tons of money just means larger payments.

I am pretty sure this would be the case for me. Making about ten times what I did 20 years ago and I still always seem to be broke.

Members Mr.Mow
I've never heard anyone argue money doesn't reduce stress and solve problems. That's still very different than buying love or happiness. I used to think like this too. You give legal advice in your jocks from your couch while watching bold and the beautiful don't you?! Members Bluescout
Money can RENT love. That is really nice but after I rented it, I'd buy it a sandwich and some fries.

Before that I just sat on the couch watching the bold and the beautiful (and building amps and working on basses...), but I got bored of not working. Moderators isaac42 Posted November 25, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 25, 2009 People who say money doesn't buy happiness should give me a couple mil and watch me demonstrate how it reduces anxiety and stress. They also aren't up on the latest research. It shows that, up to a certain amount, more money does indeed make one happier. Above that amount, it doesn't seem to make much difference. Personally, I'm of the opinion that "Money can't buy happiness" is a canard promulgated by the wealthy to help keep the riffraff in their place. Moderators Kindness Posted November 25, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 25, 2009 That's what I thought, too, until it happened to me. Me too! edit: But I also think that everyone should get the opportunity to try it themselves. Just because it wasn't a good long term solution doesn't mean it wasn't temporarily awesome.
