Members SpacedCowboy Posted September 22, 2005 Members Posted September 22, 2005 Originally posted by brassic BK, I swear, you and SpacedCowboy, I don't know how you do this leather thing onstage. Don't you just die of the heat? Especially living down south and all. Usually the places we play are pretty well air conditioned, but I still do my fair amount of water shedding. (Not to mention that when I do the black jacket thing, I just make it worse...I swear I must be certifiable sometimes... )But funnily enough, we're playing an outdoor event this saturday, and you can best believe the leather and the black jackets are staying at home.
Members Fendercaster Posted September 22, 2005 Members Posted September 22, 2005 Posted by Xing2:After viewing this thread I am now convinced that old, fat people should not be allowed on stages. Who wants to look at that? Well, f you. I may be old and fat, but I still love playing every weekend, and I'm not really worried about people having to look at me. As long as they're dancing and enjoying what I play, then I think I'll just stay on stage!

One question though...in the 3rd pic how is that bass player sideways? Haha, I've had a lot of comments like that about that pic, some not very... complimentary! He's just leaning way over. Doing the "looking in amazement at the guitar neck" thing which is pretty funny since I'm clearly playing a rhythm chord. Maybe he just forgot the chords!Btw, that bassist is now the guitarist for the Grabass Charlestons and Billy Reese Peters, both of whom are on No Idea records, iirc.BK

I'm from fairly close by there, and several of my friend's bands have played there before. Coincidentally enough, I'm in Gainesville now at UF. I don't suppose you can think of any bands looking for someone to play keys for them can you?

Members madjack Posted September 26, 2005 Members Posted September 26, 2005 Originally posted by SpacedCowboy Wow, MJ, your keyboard setup would make Rick Wakeman jealous! Thanks. The nice thing is that it's a house band gig, so I rarely have to move the stuff. I use all that because we play a wide variety of styles from CCR and The Band to Pink Floyd and Billy Idol. I need lots of different sounds, and often need many different things on one song.
