Members Sordid1
To be honest every time I get in a band I am taken so I don't get a chance to enjoy that aspect of it. I'm happily married now and have no interest for groupies but i'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to get them if I so chose. I have seen guys much uglier than myself doing just fine for themselves! Members Edward
Never made any difference for me..... I'm always the one they wanna see as their substitute for a GBF... damnit! I'd like to be with somebody who played herself, though it's still no guarantee she'll be into the same things. An ex of mine played guitar, was actually pretty good at it, but she not only just didn't get the point of owning more than one guitar..... she had no interest in the instrument whatever. I mean, ok not everyone is an obsessive gearhead, but really she honestly did not see one guitar as remotely different from another. Hell, noce she even suggested we both sell all our guitars and buy just one shared one. WTF??? glad she didn't hang around, heh. My guitars may not get me anywhere, but hell, at least there's noone around to bitch about my GAS either.
Members no tone
I don't know if it's just playing that does it, When your onstage in a crowded club, every girl in the place see's you on stage, that alone should increase your chances. Throw in the fact that you can invite them to the after hours party and you get more time to work on them there, so your chances to succeed should increase again (as the alcohol consumption levels go up). If this fails, maybe your just too damned ugly
Members archiemax
Women always seem to gravitate to the lead guitarist. Played a casino gig out of town a few weeks ago. After the show, I'm up in my room and sure enough, this one cute little groupie starts banging on my door and KEPT banging on my door......... ....finally had to let her out. Members Roy Brooks
I did not start playing guitar in order to get myself some poontang. I just wanted to play guitar because I thought it was cool. And it is.But during my thirty years or so as a working musician I have gotten quite a bit of tail from women I met at gigs. Members JBJ
it perks their interest when they know you play or see you onstage but u still need abit of game and confidence. it all depends on how you carry yourself. I get the best of both worlds just now. I do all the guitar work and i sing so basically i'm the token fanny magnet at least in theory. it helps that my bro and our bass player are attache. to be honest girls you pick up at gigs are just that. i seriously doubt id get into anything serious with someone i boned just because she liked me being in a band but it can make girls you know and dig take a bit more notice which is nice :-) as for the girlfriend in the band thing. our bass plauer went out with a girl, they split up and we hooked up about half a year later. she couldn't stand him after they'd split up but we got along fine until we split up. my bro was more pissed about it than me to be honest and in a band meeting he waited till the end and just said i'm not being in a band with a bitch like you so if you don't go i am. long story short i get to sing jimmy quit and ashlea got fired in summer of 69 for a laugh

Members JBJ
not many lawyer types cutting around these parts I tell thee i've got a whole lot of wierd little foibles about women. alot of the time i feel like i'm taking advantage when i'm not really but it still putsme off. much worse if it's someone i know like a mates sister or one of my sisters friends. I'm pretty much set up for a {censored} buddy for the next month or 2 just now though I'm not completely sure she realises it but when i actually thought about the prospect of going out with her it really wierded me out. i really need to be into someone to commit. which in turn led me to write a song last night called the girl with the blue hair although unintentional, turned out to really be about this smoking hot little chinese girl i met in a club about a year ago and u know when you meet someone and you just go woah how is someone so hot funny and interesting even able to exist? and you just get totally lost in them n what not. sadly i was so drunk that night i managed to lose her phone number and i don't do regret but it really is the one thing i look back on and think you're a {censored}in tool for letting that one slip away. Members Singin' Dave
Well, I'm a pretty basic (i.e. not very good) rhythm guitarist so I certainly don't get any attention for my guitar playing. But, combine some simple chords with singing and now your on to something!! I had a gig a couple years ago at a bar where my bass man and my lead guitarist couldn't make it. So my drummer and I said, screw it, we'll do an acoustic thing with hand drums, have fun and get paid. During the first set we can see girls begin to shimmy up closer and closer and by the second set many young attractive things were giving us the serious eyeball. End of second set both my drummer and I have girls all over us making serious offers for us to take them home and have our way with them. A couple of amazing looking girls flat out told me they wanted me. I couldn;t believe it, as beyond the usual nice looks etc., our full band usually doesn't get that kind of attention. Of course I'm married too, so had to politely decline some very thrilling offers. My bass player and lead guitar player have never heard the end of the night they missed. Truly something weird in the air that night... Almost every other night, this quote is dead on: It'll get women talking to you that otherwise wouldn't look at you twice, so it's a good ice breaker. It's still up to you to take it from there.

Members brikus
the first time I got laid, it was with a chick that I managed to hook up with thanks to my guitar. Therefore, yes, it works.
