Members Brian Krashpad
And I have no way to prove it. As fate would have it, the layout of the print article is different from the web version. The web version does not have the pic of me, but it does have the largest of the 4 photos (of 4 different bands) used in the print version. Here's the text online with the other pic: http://tinyurl.com/cj8gj The pic of me they used was a cropped version of this, with just the two guitarists left (the middle third of the pic) in the version in the newspaper: He actually got the date of the Crash Pad show wrong, it's Saturday rather than Friday, but that's because of a late change by the promoter. I've had flyers up at the venue since Tuesday, so it's all good, if someone goes Friday they can always come back the next night. He also noted the Sunday show for my side band, Hoyt and the HotHeads. He has kinda an ascerbic writing style where he's always trying to be "edgy" that I think might be lost on a lot of people. But I say there's no such thing as bad press! The first thing our office manager said to me this morning was "I saw your picture in the paper!" The beer does not appear to be helping, but I'll give that another 30 or 40 years trial just to make sure. Folks, here's an example of what Brian is talking about: I have to write this stupid Welcome Back column to tell all of you moronic people about the no-good, waste-of-space musical scene that infests this town like a cancerous rot. Lucky for you, you're coming back to town during that awful thing called MoeFest, so rest assured you can see all the dumb bands in town without my useless rambling in a lame attempt to assist you in seeing all the dumb bands in town. If you're into worthless hobbies like experiencing local music (God help you), then it would behoove you to get off of the sofa and head downtown to fulfill your awful attempts at entertainment (read: anything to make you forget your/our own mundane existence). But he did a lousy job of it. He needs to save that stuff for his Creative Writing class, and just tell everyone the the "Five W's." BK
