Members Fendercaster
This week I learned the old Platters song, "Only You" (Travis Tritt's version), and BB King's "The Thrill is Gone". Don't know if I'll try them with the band this weekend, but I'm looking forward to doing them live.
Members ulank
I don't really enjoy learning covers, but for some reason I have been workin on a few lately on the acoustic.Burden in My Hand - SoundgardenTake Me Back Then - Days of the New green albumBring Yourself - Days of the New green albumUnfortunately, all three of these are in different tunings so I gotta tune the bajeezus out of the axe before I can work on em. I need to buy about 7 more guitars.
Members gtrwizrd
I dont really try and learn songs as much as I used to, but these songs sorta just came to me this week while I was listening to them and seemed to say "pick your guitar and play with us!" 1. Deja Vu - Iron Maiden2. Rock N' Roll Band - BostonSurprisingly, they weren't as hard as I initially thought they would be.
Members fuzzball
I like to learn bits and pieces of songs more than the whole song. I usualy use the new material to help me create something new, My favorite thing is performing originals.

Members srsfallriver
I have to learn two songs for this weekend: Book of Dreams by Bruce Springsteen (3 chords and alot of suck!) A Song For My Son (I haven't even heard this one yet, but given that it was written specifically for a mother/son dance by someone that specializes in writing wedding music, I'll bet its going to suck real badly). Members bilbo71070
"The Suffering" By Coheed and Cambria. Heard these guys on VH1 the other day and had flashbacks of the 80's for some reason. Really like their stuff!
Members SeeU 22
After seeing Rock Star Inxs, our band got inspired and learned Bohemian Rhapsody. It doesn't sound to bad. We are going to try it live for the first time this weekend. Neil ps. The middle vocal part took the longest.

That sounds great. Currently I'm only playing in an acoustic duo with a friend of mine. Since Sunday I have been writing a new song for us. I love writing my own stuff. I also like doing covers, though. Over the last week I have learned these: There Is A Light That Never Goes Out - The Smiths (guitar+vocal)I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday - Morrissey (guitar+vocal)You're The One For Me Fatty - Morrissey (guitar+vocal)Englishman In New York - Sting (guitar+vocal harmony) Yeah, I know. I am currently going through a Morrissey/The Smiths period.

Members colliewobble
I finally learned Here Comes The Sun...with a capo on the 5th fret. Gonna play that one with my acoustic set. Also "Caballo Diablo" (Charlie Daniels), which I will do acoustically. I already knew how to play it, just had to work it up a bit to play acoustically. Cool song. I'm fixin' to learn a bunch of blues tunes...chaning from a classic rock vibe to mostly blues stuff for the band situation.

Cool song.I'm fixin' to learn a bunch of blues tunes...chaning from a classic rock vibe to mostly blues stuff for the band situation. My band had to learn Here Comes The Sun a few months back. Despite my e-mails several weeks prior to the gig about the odd time changes in the bridge, my drummer felt that any Beatles tune was beneath him. He screwed up royally! That bridge jumps from 4/4 to 3/8 to 5/8 and back!
Members colliewobble
Also just worked on Six Blade Knife and Southbound Again by Dire Straits, from their first album. And gonna work on Water of Love for my acoustic stuff. Mark Knopfler really is a top notch songwriter.

Members vanlatte
I learned "Interstate Love Song" so I can sit in with a friends band when they play it...it's a riot, everytime I see them play, when this song is next they start screaming for me over the mic to get up there Also been working on some classical guitar versions of some Beatles songs. So far I have "Something" and "Here comes the Sun" down. Working on "Hello, Goodbye" but it's tough.

Members KingKabong
I've been working on the Yngwie "best of" riffs from the latest Guitar Player. Members Base
Heart of Gold - Neil YoungOther Side of the World - KT TunstallRedemption Song - Bob Marley, tho mostly just trying to commit the words to memory. They are all just for me for fun, I'm also supposed to be learning Sweet Jane by Lou Reed for the band, I don't think the drummer realised it's mostly about 8 minutes of lead guitar or he wouldn't have agreed to it I'm putting it off until the guy that suggested it and will be singing it actually learns the rest of the songs he's supposed to be doing properly tho
