Members moogerfooger
my lates yard sale excursion netted a Sears danecectro "amp in case" single pickup model from the mid 60's in perfect working order for 25 bucks it had the original strings on it -- when i asked the lady if it worked she said -- It just needs a string, and she was right. after cleaning it all up and re-stringing it -- I plugged in the case turned it on and did my best version of pipeline ever. Come out to the garage, there's a bunch of gear out there!"... And so there was! Apparently, "Hubby" had accumulated a lot of choice gear, and she said, "I'd like to get rid of everything today...what'll you give for everything together?" I told her that I couldn't give her a fair price on the lot, because there was too much quality gear there...she said, "I want to get rid of everything and I prefer to sell it cheap, just so I can tell him how cheap I sold it...how much cash have you got on you right now?"...I checked my wallet and told her $135...she said "Sold and I'll help you load it up!" I again told her that this would be about a nickel on the dollar of what it was probably worth, just to be honest, but she just said "Not a problem!" I finally agreed to take everything and send her 1/2 of the proceeds from what I sell the stuff of I don't keep for myself. Accept no guilt from the naysayers. You went above and beyond what 99% of the population would do. Great score - good for you. SR

Did you see that Zemaitis bass with all the silver inlays on the face of the body?I left with that 100w 6-channel Traynor PA mixer I showed you, a Taylor 415, and an Oahu spanish-necked guitar...and $90 more than I walked in with!
