Screw them covers, what have you written lately?

I constantly write riffs and record them for later use - When Metallica calls I'll be ready. Most of the stuff I actually record as full songs are goof-off experiments. I'm a lazy SOB so I figure since I have no outlet for my songs there is no use in working too hard on them.

I've nearly completed one called "Why Not?" which is about gear lust.

Another hook in my head is about a beautiful girl much like JBJ and a lot of guy's inspiration about a a girl who knows exactly how beautiful she is.

Another percolating is called "How Much"...

Aw crap, I wish I could stay home and just work on my songs!

Here's a parody of a Beatle song I'm working on, inspired by a drunk's request at a bar-b-q I played about 6 weeks ago...if anyone wants to throw their own slant on it, that might be fun (and, if used, I'll certainly give ya credit!):

CHICKEN TO RIDE

(V1)I think I must've got stoned

I'm not sure what to say

The girl I'm wanting so bad

Has just rode away

(C)She's got a chicken to ride

She's a got chicken to ride

She's a got chicken to ride

And that's just weird

(V2)She says that eating with me

Is bringing her down

I brought a bucket from the Colonel

And she brought a frown

(B)Don't know why she's bending my ear

It's not the bird was her friend

And it sure was good Southern-fried

Pass the coleslaw and let us begin!

(V3)The girl only comes to my knees

Yeah, she's really that short!

(Two more lines needed)

This caught my imagination.

I started out thinking to add some to your parody, but instead I wrote a different one for the same song (This is not especially PC, and R rated . . . ok, it's sick):

Midget to Ride

This is going to look bad,

Like an orange toupee,

Just like denim in plaid,

Or a rose that is gray,

She
