Members defense
What does an A and R Rep do? I always thought that they signed new talent but recently I've been hearing that sometimes record labels assign them to bands and they do promortion and networking. Is this true? I don't think they actually exist. It's sort of a "snipe hunt" or search for a can of "checkered paint" thing.

Moderators daddymack Posted October 14, 2005 Moderators Share Posted October 14, 2005 Artist and Repertoire...they are supposed to help guide bands as far as venues to play on tour, find songs for you to cover, etc. Most of them nowadays don't know jack about music, and it shows.
