Members sideswipedv
one of our local storage facilities converted some of its storage units into "offices" they have two rooms, a bathroom, lights, heat and air. They are only charging us 130.00 a month and that includes electricity and water. Admittedly we practice in a small town but it not far from myrtle beach. Members aerorockjax
Here in Jacksonville, FL it is pretty tough to find practice space unless you own a house or someone in the band has one. No storage places will rent to bands in this city although i heard some used to years ago. It really makes it tough putting together or being in band when lot of people live in apartments or have no room or money to soundproof a room in their house. I am from Boston originally and there many places that rent practice rooms monthly weekly or hourly, with 24 hr access, security, ac/heat, good soundproofing to outside (so bands can play as loud as they want), some soundproofing between rooms, and some offer gear rentals. Many other cities across the country have places like these. If i was a real estate developer i'd be interested in building musician friendly apts and houses along with buildings will plenty of rehearsal spaces to rent out to muscians/bands.
