Members sabriel9v
I'm in a group called the Marvelous Rejections and we're looking for some open mic nights in Atl. Does anyone know of any venues that have them? I've already called Smith's Olde Bar and Vinyl and they said they cancelled their open mic events. Any others? Thanks. Members mynameistaken
there was some website i found a while back that had a complete list in the atlanta area. do a google search for open mic atlanta and it may pop up. Members Lee Flier
Eddie's Attic, Decatur - that's the big one if you're doing an acoustic thing If you mean open mic jam session type things that allow drums/electric guitar/etc... I believe there's one at Fuzzy's Diner on N. Druid Hills. There's also a guy who does several open mics around town, I think he has one at the Norcross Tavern in downtown Norcross, you can call and ask them and also ask where else that guy does open mics, cuz I know he has a few and they move around some. Members dughaze
Do singers usually bring their own mics or everybody uses the house mic? What's the microphone protocol at open mic nights?
Members Lee Flier
Generally they have a house system, including mics. It's way too much of a pain for everybody to bring their own equipment and switch it out just for a couple of songs.
