Members brassic Posted November 24, 2005 Members Posted November 24, 2005 Enjoy your day of stuffing yourselves and falling asleep on the sofa with the TV blasting out football. (On Saturday my fellow Yank-expats and I will be trying our best to turn these Brits onto pumpkin pie.)
Members Tedster Posted November 24, 2005 Members Posted November 24, 2005 You're a Yank? I thought you were a Brit! Well, Happy Thanksgiving, no matter which flag you fly (even though it's not a British holiday)...any day is a good excuse to eat IMO... So, what sort of visas and work permits do you have to have to gig over there???
Members brassic Posted November 24, 2005 Author Members Posted November 24, 2005 I'm from Pennsylvania. I've been over here since 1995 though. I was once married to an English guy hence my ability to live here. I have residency so I can live and work here legally, but I'm not a citizen (can't vote here, for example). We're going to do our Thanksgiving on Saturday for obvious reasons. Two of the girls in the band are also American, it's like a mini colony.
