Members Raybies
I've been lurking in the guitar forum for years but have recently found this forum and I think it's great how you guys share gig and band stories and everything so I thought I'd contribute something. I've just recently hooked up with a new band after playing for years with another band who weren't very ambitious about playing out. All they wanted to do was jam nonstop in the studio so after getting sick of that I found by chance a new band. It's strange how these things happen but I was introduced to another guitar player who works in my building, we would run into each other every so often and chat about how his band or my band was doing. Turns out he has the same problem with his band and we decided to try and jam together not knowing how it would turn out. He got his old drummer and I got my old bass player and we jelled instantly, playing tighter after one month than my old band after several years of practice. So after rehearsing once a week for about a month and a half we found an opening at an outdoor fair gig. We're not getting paid but we will get free food and a chance to see how we play together live. So the gig is about 2 hours off and I'm packing to go. Wish me luck! Members Nobody Told Me
Awesome!! Man, it's so cool when you finally hook up with people who are on the same wavelength as you. Have a great gig, and best wishes for many more!
Members flip333
No sense in burning old bridges. It is best to keep your mouth shut regarding your resentments. Rabyes has spoke in a non-judgemental tone towards his past band, and that will always pay towards the new band.
