Members dazed1
I guess I think too small eh? I think I would actually prefer the smaller more intimate venues. I think the show could have more energy that way.

Members Brian Krashpad
CBGB's. But if it were in the "bring back a local place that's gone" category, it'd be Gainesville's Hardback Cafe. Lotsa good memories of a decade of shows there in three different bands. Members THBv2.0
I'd love to play at Red Rocks before I die. I'd also love to play some of the venues where I saw many concerts as a youngster, mostly in Portland, Or.

Members The Hiryuu
ANYWHERE anywhere? I'd do something ridiculous, like on Mt. Rushmore, or on the Great Wall of China or something (And dress up like Mongolian warriors. ) But if you mean actual places with seating and such, I'd go with Fenway Park. Just because it's such a small amount of people that have played there (What...Springsteen, Simon & Garfunkel, Jimmy Buffet, and the Rolling Stones? [Oh, and two of the four are totally undeserving of that honor. Guess which?]) And yeah, CBGB's would be cool too. Or Madison Square Garden [Just because hearing that you've played there = you sound really big and important]
Members Badside
My favorite gigs are the outside ones, so to me it would be anything outside, as long as there are at least 100 000 persons in the audience. Ideally, the original Woodstock festival would be fine.

Granted you would make no money but still. Mine would be a major music awards show. Either the Grammy's or MTV music awards. Not because I necessarily care about them, it's the exposure. On a less grand scale, I'd say the Conan O'Brien show.

Members jackcheez
WHAT?? Is Al's Bar gone? Somebody purchased the "hotel" the a couple years ago and shut the bar down instantly without warning. Had some good times there.
Members RupertB
Originally posted by Hardtailed My favorite gigs are the outside ones. +1 For a large venue, I'd have to go with Red Rocks. For an intimate, local place: The Ice House Beer Garden, Wilmington NC. A 50'x70' open-air beer garden with a small bar inside, a big covered stage outside, and a view of the Cape Fear River. We played there 5-6 times a season for about 4 years. Had some great times in that place. During set-up, the bartender would come over and ask "what kinds of beers do you want in your cooler". They bulldozed the place last year.

Members DonaldDemon
+1 on Madison Square Garden. Ever since I saw the "Song Remains the Same" video from Zeppelin I've always dreamed of playing that place. My next choice would be the Electric Factory in Philly because its my favorite place to see shows and the sound is always top notch there IMO. Just a cool looking old factory as well.
