Members Marlin in Minn Posted March 20, 2006 Members Posted March 20, 2006 What kind of music do they play?
Members THBv2.0 Posted March 20, 2006 Members Posted March 20, 2006 Originally posted by Marlin in Minn What kind of music do they play? The very serious kind, MM. They're new metal, loud guitar, soaring vocals, awesome bottom end rock n roll. I'm kinda a fan.

We're a rock band. And we're loud. What else do you need to know?" -Chuck Johnson Here's a link to their myspace page with some of their songs: http://www.myspace.com/tk421band

Members bonscottvocals Posted March 21, 2006 Members Posted March 21, 2006 Good stuff. Love the vocals. Nice lyrics, interesting riffs. I could do with a little less distortion. I like the old driven amp sound, this sound is more like a 'distortion' pedal than an overdrive, but hey, I don't like parmesian cheese on my spaghetti either. I'll have to check them out when I get back to VA.
Members squealie Posted March 21, 2006 Members Posted March 21, 2006 Originally posted by bonscottvocals I like the old driven amp sound, this sound is more like a 'distortion' pedal than an overdrive, I do too. Unfortunately, it's a PITA to have a tube amp blaring for 7 hours and 15 beers while I try to get my part right. I've had quite a few guitar players ask me how we got that great sound.... I look at them quizzically. But thanks for listening man.
Members bonscottvocals Posted March 21, 2006 Members Posted March 21, 2006 It's good stuff, nonetheless. I'll pay to see you guys when I'm in town. I do a lot of traveling, and this is a great way to find bands worth checking out on the road.
Members -=Pennywise=- Posted March 21, 2006 Members Posted March 21, 2006 Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't TK-421 the number code for the StormTrooper that Luke Skywalker whacked in the 1977 film Star Wars : A New Hope ? It was the scene where they were on the death star. I'm such a {censored}ing geek today, someone slap me, please....
