Yeah I've been slacking a bit on getting the next person up, and I also wanted to comment myself on Mathew's band. But let's just say this week has been one of the craziest of my life, and "real life" has forced me to neglect the forum a bit. To top off everything else my Internet connection has been screwy much of the time too, so...

Anyhow, since I've been doing the spotlights on Wednesdays, I figure I will do the next one tomorrow and then we'll be somewhat back to normal. That'll give me time to comment on Riverside today, too. :)

Yeah, it's odd, there are a whole lot of people I know who seem to be having their lives turned upside down this past week.

Must be spring, or something.

Mine too.

I used to notice all the women around me getting inexplicably irritable all at the same time. I blame it on the aliens testing their "bitch ray" again. Their secret plan, I suppose, is to perfect that thing and make all our women impossible to please at once. That will make our men lose the will to fight and facilitate their invasion. :o

I think they've lost their window of opportunity, though. I know quite a few big, ripped, agressive Iraq war vets who just happen to be women who like women, if you know what I mean. Turn the bitch ray on those ladies and I think it might more than compensate for the men being helpless.

Terry D.

P.S. I made the mistake of sharing my theory with my wife some time back. Now she'll occasionally tell me, "I guess those aliens are experimenting with a bastard ray too." :o

P.P.S. I told all this to my friend JiveJust / Casey the other night and he decided to write a song called "Alien Bitch Ray Misfire." :freak:

Hoping everything's working itself out, Lee...

What IS up? Last week WAS crazy. Nikki Sudden, (Jacobites, Swell Maps) who was a legendary-if-not-famous musician, friend of my band, and a remarkable preson, died at 49 after a show.

And, there was a mass killing at a party like 12 blocks from my house where six people died.

Weirdness.

:eek::(

Yeah, it really does seem like there's some kind of alien force field at work lately.

Some things are working themselves out I suppose... some not. For one, I had to put one of my cats to sleep last Friday. :( I'd been through all kinds of hell with force feeding her every couple of hours and frequent trips to the vet for re-hydration, and she wasn't responding to any antibiotic... turned out she had a massive tumor. :(

Then my net connection has been intermittently screwy for the past several months, and my ISP will only occasionally admit they have a network problem, and different people I talk to all give me different answers... so I get way behind on work when my connection is down or too slow. Normally I get around such things by going to a local wireless cafe, but I couldn't for the last month because I needed to be home with my sick cat.

Then my band has been rehearsing for our CD release gig and running into all sorts of technical issues, little things breaking and who knows what else... and our drummer's having problems with a pinched nerve that makes his hands feel like they're falling asleep while playing... and assorted other weirdness I won't go into since it's not my habit to blab personal information about other people. But geez. This is getting old. :(

Oh, no... I'm really sorry. :(

If our cat (I only HALF-jokingly refer to him as "my son") became ill like that I'd be a total wreck, guarenteed.

I hope your kitty is off rolling in huge fields of catnip somewhere... :)

Yeah, I'm trying to be philosophical about it cuz I know she had an awesome life for 12 years. She was a very happy kitty, and considering I found her on the street as a starving, sick little kitten it's a wonder she had a life at all.

And I know she's in a better place now... I just miss her that's all. :( At least my other cat is being extra sweet... she's chilling on my lap now, and I think she misses her sister too, even though she used to act like she couldn't give a crap. :D Cats, go figure.
