Members chemikool
I've noticed in my time performing solo that certain songs go over like gangbusters almost every time. Maybe we can share what works (and what doesn't) and pick up some more songs from each other! I'm know in my case I'm going to add some (*gulp*) country music soon and would like to know what works and what doesn't. Here are some songs that get the crowd involved every time: Sweet CarolineLiving On A PrayerKeep Your Hands To YourselfFree Fallin'Brown-Eyed Girl Have you noticed any other "auto-win" type songs in your solo/duo performances? Members Howie22
Sweet CarolineKeep Your Hands To YourselfBrown-Eyed Girl Those usually work well for singalongs. I generally only bring them out when it's the "right" crowd. I don't play them for those restaurant gigs where I'm more background music. They work better with a late evening bar crowd. Nothing worse than doing Sweet Caroline and have no one singing along. Other good ones for those sing-along moments:-Call Me By My Name-Family Tradition-Margaritaville (people do the "Salt, Salt" thing)-Cheeseburger in Paradise-Iko Iko While not a sing-along, I find that doing Sweet Home Alabama/All Summer Long gets people fired up. The Bartender song also works, if you have the right crowd.

Members richardmac
Margaritaville, Brown Eyed Girl, Piano Man, Johnny B. Goode, Pretty Woman That's for older crowds. For younger crowds... I dunno, because I seem to be always playing to older crowds.
