Members leftyjay Posted September 13, 2011 Members Share Posted September 13, 2011 i have songs that i'll play with a nylon string. if the mood catches me to bring it, i play 5-6 songs on it during the night. besides my keyboard, i bring 2 electrics and 2 acoustics with me, but only set up one each. Members guitapick Posted September 18, 2011 Members Share Posted September 18, 2011 Nylon string's my favorite but I tend to leave it home for gigs. Two reasons: 1) I've already got a Reso and Martin steelstring to carry. 2) I use fingerpicks with the steelstrings. They dont work well on nylon strings. It's a serious disconnect switching back and forth in a live setting. Tunes that I normally play on the nylon string sound great on the Martin...so that's my solution for gigs.
