Damn dude! Holy {censored}...drooling. Everything sounds great- you're very talented.

So what's the deal? Do you gig quite a bit or what's your story?
;)

Thanks Darrell for your kind words! I've been giging for years with my own band and have worked with other bands in the studio and on the road. (John Mayer, Smash Mouth) I've done a lot of broadcasting of my solo act live on Ustream and have recently started to gig out live as a solo act. I've put out a few albums on major labels (Geffen and Hollywood Records) and a few independently on my own label. (TML Records) I've also licensed a lot of my music to film and TV. Check out my discography on my web sight.

JEALOUS! Thanks for the post!

The monitor on to of the Amp sim makes me nervous. Ever think of a bit of velcro to keep stage vibrations from making it slip off?

I also like how everything is up front on the racks. No leaning over and looking at everything upside down in the dark.

Do you find you have to tweak the mixes much during different shows?

Best,

Dave

Hi Dave, thanks for watching! Yes the monitor normally does not sit on top of the amp like in the video. I just did that for the video so people could see it. I normally just lay it down behind the amp where it's safe from being knocked off. Once I have my set loaded up and I have control of everything I dont even need the monitor. Having all the connections in front makes setting up everything easy. The mix always is different from room to room but my In Ear Monitor mix is set and never really changes.

wow..!!

fantastic setup, great sound. great playing. nice to see you can back it all up with top playing and a top sound ;) really impressed man nice stuff.

it backs up my theory - i think backing tracks work as long as the person up front can really play. then it just sounds like backing sounds with the guy up front whos carrying it all..

if he cant do that then it all gets a bit cheesy. IMO of course..

checked some of your other videos. great stuff!! funky, rockin' love it...

when you gig is it all originals...? do you drop covers too?

i notice on most of your backtracks its just drum and bass is it?? with you playing guitar over.

the drum and bass sounds so powerful. are they live drums or just really well programmed ones thru a quality sampler??

gives a nice empty, hendrix trio, type vibe some of the time...

well done great stuff. ;)

Beautiful rig and I checked out your other videos, I'm a fan.

But....do all the venues you play require the complete recording rig too?

I used to gig with an obscene amount of gear.

These days, I'm trying to take enough, but not too much.

Thanks! This rig is a moble recordinging studio but was built to simulate a live band mix. The beauty of this set up is the total control of the FOH mix which is something that's just not possible with a stereo backing track ala Laptop/MP3 player. I send the FOH a 16 track mix just like a live band would do. I the event I play a small gig and just send a stereo mix out of my mixer I still have control of all 16 channels and can mix it for the room.

Fantastic! :thu: That kinda music makes me wanna drink a whole mess of beer. I'd love to hear you play with a band though. It reminds me of The Arc Angels.

The gear is cool however I have to admit that's all gobbledy gook to me... I struggle using a Fender Twin amp...

Yo! I just listened to "Good Time". Great stuff dude.

You've got quite the discography there too!

Thanks Darrell, I wrote that "Good Time" in 5 minutes and it's given me back so much! It just goes to show that you never know when a song is just going to have legs.
