Members THJams Posted April 18, 2005 Members Posted April 18, 2005 I was watching that Carvin HT-400 even before I knew that it was you selling it. Hows it sound ? I mainly need it to run a stereo PA like system for the drum machine and synth stuff. I already have my guitar setup through a stereo tube amp setup Later Tony
Members Cougar Hunter Posted April 18, 2005 Author Members Posted April 18, 2005 It's response is very flat. I wouldn't be selling it if I hadn't bought the Marshall 9100. It sounds very clear but not harsh at all. It's definitely loud enough with the right cabs. Another thing, everyone raves about the DCM-150 or whatever. That's basically the same amp with half the power. This is defintely just about mint also. I never even triggered the protect mode. It's pretty light too compared to this huge Marshall I just got.
Members THJams Posted April 20, 2005 Members Posted April 20, 2005 Cool...... I may be a bidder or a sniper on that one. Depends how high the bid gets. Good luck getting the Marshall 9100 up & running. Let us know how it sounds after the repair, and what tube's you use in it. I've been looking for a nice stereo EL34 power amp myself. Later Tony

Later Tony I have one of the old 1993-94 ones that uses 5881/6L6's. It really doesn't sound like a Marshall at all. It's funny, it sounds more like a Mesa in pretty much every way.
