I'm looking into getting a CAD Champ Compressor but they are few and far between.

What are some other decent rackmountable Compressors?

What about the YAMAHA COMP/LIMITER GC2020B?

I see the TC Electronics Triple C digital multiband compressor around alot.

Anyone have any experience with these? THANKS

CAD absolutely rules.

Bob Bradshaw built Cad's into the rigs of LA dudes like Mike Landou and Steve Lukather.

CADs are relatively unknown these days.

Stay away from cheaper Asian TC electronic stuff like the triple C or the d two. It's not the same as the real stuff from Denmark.

One of the few other REALLY good rack compressors would be the DBX 160

Which DBX 160? The 160A or the 160X, 160XT? There's a couple of them

Check out an Ashly CL52 or CL52E compressor. They're very easy to use,

and sound great for guitar. They are a very good unit to buy used, because

they are very solidly built. I paid $125 for a CL52, and $225 for a used CL52E.

I also had one of the Yamaha compressors, but didn't like it at all.

I used to have a DBX160. I find my keeley compressor in a GRX4 loop sounds way better. It may have to do with compression sounding better early in your signal chain, where your effects are guitar level, as opposed to most rackmount compressors designed for PA and recording racks when things are at line level. Compressors sound like ass in the loop.
