Members simeon Posted May 1, 2008 Members Posted May 1, 2008 you using it in an fx loop? if so, is the loop serial or parallel?
Members mlamarche Posted May 1, 2008 Author Members Posted May 1, 2008 yes... effects loop of marshall jmp-1
Members simeon Posted May 1, 2008 Members Posted May 1, 2008 check what setting you have on the loop send in the jmp-1 at 0 it sends nothing to the fx loop at 6 it send 50% (parallel loop) at 12 it send 100% (serial loop) if you have it set to less than 12, you'll be mixing dry signal with processed signal and in this instance you'll need to kill the dry output from the replifex, so set DIRECT to off (in the global parameters) better to set the jmp-1 at 12 and run all the signal through the replifex (it has nice converters) - try this and see if it makes a difference to the sound (assuming that's not how you have it set already!) sim
Members mlamarche Posted May 1, 2008 Author Members Posted May 1, 2008 it's getting better...still have a problem with the right mix....that whole + and - thing drives me crazy, it's like sometimes - means more and + means less...and then on other settings it's vice versa....
Members Hamer95USA Posted May 2, 2008 Members Posted May 2, 2008 Hey mlamarche, You'll have to work out your settings between your JMP-1 preamp & your Replifex until you get it to sound right. I went through that same process myself, but got over the learning curve of the Replifex. Guitar George
