Visuals, Projections

I think they enhance a show. Depending on the source material and the music behind it. I'm doing video projections for Porn (Men of) Friday night at the CW. Because I used to do visuals for a living I have tons of footage, mostly psychedelic rave stuff, which looks good for a band as well. We do visuals at every ashpool show where it's feasible. check out http://www.ashpoolmusic.com/mystery/gallery.html for examples. I have a killer video projector and like I said I created all the psychedelic footage so it fits the music. Even slides can help. Any of you other bands ever use projections regularly? Any Bay Area bands looking for visuals? I'm just doing a head count/reaction survey. I'm not spamming.

cheers

Nice projections.

Projection and lighting can make for a great show. Classic lighting on it's own can make for a lot of creative work.

I have a couple of friends that have done projection lighting on a big bands tour for some time. They used a couple of fans without cages in front of the projectors and it made for quite an interesting effect. The fans were on speed controls which gave some visual adjustment. An idea worth pinching?
