I am thinking of getting a QSC RMX 1450 power amp to hook up to a Yamaha S12ME speaker. Eventually I will get a 2nd speaker. The power amp's specs are:8 ohms EIA 1 kHz 0.1% THD @ 2x 280W4 ohms EIA 1 kHz 0.1% THD @ 2x 450W 2 ohms EIA 1 kHz 1% THD @ 2x 700WBridge Mono Mode8 ohms EIA 1 kHz 0.1% THD @ 900W4 ohms EIA 1 kHz 1% THD @ 1400WOutput: "Touch-proof" binding posts and Neutrik Speakon The speaker's specs are:Power Rating (program/peak): 250/500 Watts Impedance: 8 ohms 1st... what are binding posts??2nd... should I use speakon or binding post?? Members dirtyragamuffin Posted September 1, 2003 Members Share Posted September 1, 2003 the 1450 has speakons, and those are the ones you want to use. Binding posts are metal posts that you basically screw bare wire into (or you put "bananna" style plugs on the wire then plug the bananas into the posts).
