Members SAMMY Posted April 12, 2006 Members Share Posted April 12, 2006 I've run into these while researching Freddie Mercury(used them exclusively on later tours) , and see that the specs are practically identical to the sm58 , any tech guys remember these from the 80's and 90's?What would really distinguish them from the sm58? Members agedhorse Posted April 12, 2006 Members Share Posted April 12, 2006 The sound quality of the SM-58 is more natural and less midrangy. The SM-58 also has a smoother polar pattern.
