Members no-logic
I am looking for a different 12" floor monitor and came across a used JBL SF12M. Any thoughts on these? Would I be better off with the JRX series in that price range?

CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted December 21, 2008 CMS Author Share Posted December 21, 2008 Sound Factor changed names, to JRX. There little or no difference between the SF12M and JRX. And Coaster is right...they aren't very good. What do you have now?

The other guys in the band are buying JBL's (JRX) so I thought I would upgrade as well. Just not a lot of cash right now.
Members Coaster
have a look at the yamaha s12V. these are a 'not bad' entry level wedge. the s12me are unacceptable imho. i can make the s12V's work well for most bands although i do give them some power. i find they have a general bump around 400hz much like a lot of these types of speakers. There's little difference among these three speakers. As Coaster says, the Yamaha Clubs are a useful upgrade, or a Peavey SP12M. Both are about $300 new.
