Thoughts on JBL SF12M monitor

Sound Factor changed names, to JRX. There little or no difference between the SF12M and JRX.

And Coaster is right...they aren't very good. What do you have now?

I have a Yamaha S12Me. The other guys in the band are buying JBL's (JRX) so I thought I would upgrade as well. Just not a lot of cash right now.

have a look at the yamaha s12V. these are a 'not bad' entry level wedge. the s12me are unacceptable imho.

i can make the s12V's work well for most bands although i do give them some power. i find they have a general bump around 400hz much like a lot of these types of speakers.

Stay with what you have then. There's little difference among these three speakers.

As Coaster says, the Yamaha Clubs are a useful upgrade, or a Peavey SP12M. Both are about $300 new.
