Members dvkerner96
Any musicians had PRP injections into your shoulders, elbows, or neck? If so, what was your experience? How did it affect your dexterity and pain level/your ability to play music?

Don't know exactly what that is, but I suffer from arthritis in both hands, and trigger finger in my right. (Too many years thumping away on a bass I guess.) Every 9 month or so, I get cortisone and lanicane injection to the base of my thumb and pinky. The most painful 1/10 of a second imaginable! And 2 weeks later, I can bend my thumb and pinky without hearing and feeling a click. The thumb is especially painful and requires a brace on it so it doesn't bend. Makes some things tough. Members dvkerner96
PRP is where they take some of your blood, separate the platelets from the white and red blood cells, and then inject the platelets back into your injured/painful areas. It is supposed to help your body heal chronic wounds.

Maybe you should look into PRP, since repeated cortisone injections can have some bad side effects, as I'm sure you know. Not totally sure if they do PRP for hands, but worth a look!
