Members agedhorse Posted October 18, 2009 Members Share Posted October 18, 2009 The primary differences between the 4718 and 4718x is the use of a different cabinet shape, and the updated 2241 driver that uses a high temperature glass-epoxy composite bobbin. They are really pretty similar sounding boxes, but not they are ohm and amps must be sized accordingly. I have many boxes using these drivers (both types) and have found them to be good performers. $350/pair (assuming the drivers are in good shape) is a steal. The SRX-718 is a pretty big improvement as the new driver is quite robust and works better in the smaller box. It's also lighter. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
