Members Danoman
Proco Fat Rat vs Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion? If you had to pick between the two, which would you choose? I'm using a Fender Telecaster deluxe into a Fender Pro Junior, I play classic rock, hard rock, punk rock, etc.
Moderators daddymack Posted November 22, 2021 Moderators Share Posted November 22, 2021 I'm not a fan of either one, but I'd likely go for the Proco. My issue is both offer their most viable selling point with non-footswitchable options; I know, the Boss has a remote port, but then I'm buying another pedal? To make the one I already have switch? Major conceptual fail for me. Both designs should have had a second foot switch, problematic on the Boss line stuff.
Members badpenguin
For me, Boss. I just don't like Rats in general. My pride and joy, if you can find one, is the Boss DD20 Drive Zone. Need a boss, it's there. Rat? gotcha covered there too. Tube Screamer or a Muff, it's in there too, and quite good sounding copies, all in a single pedal.
