Has anyone come up with a mask that's usable for singers?

Background: Last time I performed was last summer. Small stage. Our lead singer is seriously concerned about thecovid, and for good reason, so we performed wearing masks. A light paper mask didn't muffle the vocals all that badly, but I found it hard to get enough air on the inhale. Cloth mask muffled the sound rather more.

I'm wondering if a thin cloth mask, maybe even a light mesh, might provide enough air flow to sing through, won't muffle the sound much, and would still provide at least a little bit of protection from singers spraying droplets all over everyone on stage.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

I haven't done any singing wearing a mask. But in general I have an easier time breathing while wearing a basic surgical mask as opposed to a cloth mask.

no, singing...

but at ~$20 a pop...if I make $200 on a gig, that is 10% of my take...I suppose I could write it off on my taxes:rolleyes2:
