Members Capt Beaver
I've been on the hunt for a "amp like" distortion pedal for my main board for a few years now. After switching to a Two Rock Studio Pro 22 for my main live rig I needed some articulate grind for some songs and something that works well with others. The Grissom is a bit different than most... well all I have tried. First thing to do is forget about how you would set the knobs and just listen... the positions are not where I figured I would set them. I watched a video with David Grissom setting it up and that really helped me tune this pedal in.The Grissom, in my opinion, is particular where she is placed. I am running it as the last drive unit just before the reverb and delay. She like's some drives and can be a bit bright with others. It took me a bit to figure the proverbial placement puzzle out. It does clean up with the volume control of the guitar but still has the grind in the signal. You have to hear it to really understand what I mean.I play a 91 Goldtop PRS and a Dan Smith Strat I just loaded with Fralin "Blades".I would post some clips but don't know a way to host them... any suggestions are welcome. I have not done clips in a good while and haven't looked into hosting in a long time. I had 240+ clips on the net and the server ghosted on me. Members DeepEnd
Happy New Pedal Day. I'm mainly an acoustic guy so I don't use pedals myself. As for hosting I'm currently using SoundCloud. It meets my humble needs.
