Members MisfitPixie
Well, of course during this time of chaos and everyone closing, I guess most music stores are not "essential" 😅 The tuning machine / tuning head on my bass broke. After like 12 years, so I guess it's time. Anyway, I've never replaced something like this before, but I'm sure determined. My questions: Are these standard parts that most replacements will fit? Where/who sells them and is open right now? Any advice? Gotta get this fixed. 😠I have an Ibanez SRX500, so of course the original part is discontinued. Pics for clarification. Thanks everyone! Members DeepEnd
Yes, that's a fairly generic part. I bought a cheap set for my Alvarez Villain bass on eBay. They were simple to replace. Any place that sells guitar/bass parts will have what you need. I can't tell from the pic, are your tuners gray or black? If they're gray you may not be able to find the exact color and then you'll either have one mismatched tuner or replace the set if that matters. Members Grant Harding
I think this is the correct one, but check the dimensions or contact them before ordering: https://www.allparts.com/collections/bass-tuners/products/tk-0923-single-gotoh-gb707-sealed-bass-key
