Members SteinbergerHack
A well done re-fret can really bring a worn-down guitar back to life. Nice!

But for now, if one of my guitars has bad frets, I'll just change out the neck. Thank Gawd for bolt-on necks!

Phil O'Keefe
Congrats AJ! Was it expensive to get the refret jobs done? What do they typically cost these days? Oh, and do you know what sized frets were installed?
Members AJ6stringsting
From the top , it was tall extra wide frets, kind of curved. The more you go towards the body the lower and flatter the radius becomes. The frets are stainless steel ....which is hell on Nickel wound strings. I've heard that... but I was also told that they'll last a long time too, so it's supposed to be a trade-off. Longer life for the frets in exchange for less life for the strings. Is that true?
