Members robertevjohnson Posted February 4, 2020 Members Share Posted February 4, 2020 Hey guys, So I bought an op-1 recently and i was wanting to use my Yamaha keyboard's voices to make a song with it. should I be sample the chords on the keyboard or should i sample a note and then play the chords in the op-1. The sampling has already been done in the Yamaha Yup - this is the approach I'd take. If you wanted to sample the Yamaha, you could... but it's not really necessary. If you did decide to do it anyway for some reason, the notes vs. chords decision would come down to what you wanted to do. Sampling the chords will limit you to only playing back chords - you wouldn't be able to play single note lines on the OP-1. Members moogerfooger Posted February 5, 2020 Members Share Posted February 5, 2020 I guess the issue would be how much sample ram the device has and the capability of the sequencer.
