Members Tony8955
Hi,, I bought an Ibanez Roadstar 2 new in 1987, I need to replace then whole tremolo but i was hoping i could replace it with a non locking tremolo,, can I do that and if so what would be the best non locking tremolo that will fit on it,, if i can't do that where can i get a new locking tremolo from for this guitar. Thanks in advance Tony.
Members Grant Harding
Hi - the locking part of a vibrato is at the nut end. Have you got a picture?
Members 1001gear
The strings are locked to the bridge as well. Replacing a floyd would leave a crater so contact Ibanez about it. If you don't care about authenticity, fill the hole with a precisely milled block of wood and just mount the new unit as recommended.
