Members Dandstt
I teach guitar and I have an 8 year old boy starting lessons soon. His parents says he is insisting on an electric guitar. I am hoping someone here can recommend a decent 3/4 size electric with an amp. I always struggle when parents ask me to recommend a guitar because I don't like the quality of the beginner guitars...but don't want them to spend a lot of money if the child decides he hates it and wants to quit. I read article but need your advices. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Members Mikeo
Epiphone makes the 3/4 Les Paul Express. They are $150 Jackson JS1X Dinky Minion Electric, also $150 Amps are going to be a lot tougher, but get something with a headphone jack.
Members theManfromAlabam
I would get him a 3/4 Yamaha acoustic as well, he will end up playing and enjoying it, you to. Good luck with the electric.
