And...have to say...WOW.

Very good deal on Reverb.

Mint condition, 2014 manufacturing date, Made in KOREA. Comes with a hard case with the Breedlove logo.

Solid spruce top

Solid Sapele back

Laminate Sapele sides

Rosewood fretboard and bridge.

Bone nut and saddle (I believe)

LR Baggs TCV pre-amp with side mounted controls.

Satin back neck

Blacked out tuners (nice touch)

I already have a Martin DRS2 and Breedlove Stage dread (EIR back and sides), so this size is very suitable and fills a niche. And.... I wanted to have a guitar with a black gloss finish.

It is gorgeous...I will post some pics. Plays like a dream. Set up excellent (not sure if that is factory or PO). Love the feel, size, tone and play. Just feels exactly right when holding it and playing it. I have had a Breedlove concert before....and sadly let it go...so....got it back, now.

The tone is fantastic, and really fits in between the Martin and Breedlove dread (EIR). Very nice to play. But...the big surprise.....how it sounds through a cheap electric guitar amp! Perfect without any EQ or comp or anything. Amazing. The Martin has sound hole controls and, while a great guitar, needs something to play through a cheap amp. No doubt that through a proper acoustic amp...the Martin would be great. The Breedlove dread as side mounted 3 band eq...and can be good, through this amp.

This Black magic has side mount 3 band EQ, with "presence"....and needs nothing to sound great through this little cheap amp.

Pics do not do it justice (from the site …..not sure I can take good ones...will try later):

Congratulations and Happy New Guitar Day. :thu: Lovely guitar. It looks really cool in all black. Glad to hear you like it. FWIW, I believe Breedlove uses TUSQ for nuts and saddles but I could easily be wrong. In the end it doesn't matter as long as you like your guitar and the way it sounds and plays.

Congratulations on NGD! I owned a 2015 Black Magic Concert! I picked it up in 2015 from the original owner in a trade for a Carvin bass. It was pretty much mint when I got it. I liked that guitar alot, really well made, set up great from the factory and was quality down to the gig bag. String choice was key for me, I liked the BMC with DR Dragon Skins. I ended up trading it away about a year later but had loads of fun with it while I owned it. I would not hesitate to play another Breedlove whether it be an import or one made in Oregon. Congratulations again and have many years of enjoyment from your new guitar!
