Members mbengs1
I just purchased a boss cs-3 compression sustainer. It has a big volume drop when used by itself. unity is at about 3 o clock. when used with other pedals though like with the signal chain of my pedal board, there's no volume drop and sounds much better. coz when on its own, it doesn't sound as desirable. when its used with delay on the pedalboard, the clean tones sound very good. Members Mr.Grumpy
The LEVEL knob controls the output the the effect is active. You understand what a compressor does, right? It is an "automatic volume control" device that make loud parts softer and soft parts louder, it keeps your volume more even. So when it's on, it may seem to make your guitar quieter because it's reducing the volume of the note attack.
Members mbengs1
there's no problem with the pedal anyway. It's really that way. it sounds great btw, but it's better when it's with lots of pedals on a board.
