Members Frustated Keyboardist
Hello guys. I want to know if what's the difference between PSR and PSR E series of Yamaha? And what PSR Model is good for gig use? Church use and Garage band. I'm lack of budget right now to buy Korg and Roland products. I hope someone could help me. But I want to focus on Yamaha PSR old models.
Phil O'Keefe
Coincidentally, I'm in the middle of reviewing a PSR keyboard ATM - the PSR-EW300. It's got 76 keys, a ton of different voices / sounds, and intelligent arranger type features, and goes for about $250 "street." It might be just what you're looking for. https://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical_instruments/keyboards/portable_keyboards/psr-ew300/index.html
Members Music Bird
I have 2 PSRs. A PSR-e443 (newer with sampled sounds) and a PSR-19 (with digital FM synth sounds like a Soundblaster/Sega MegaDrive with a 61 key piano keyboard and 100 built in sounds, which may be dated depending on what songs you're playing in the church or garage band). You might want to try the PSR-EW400/300 or PSR-e453. Those are good for your uses.First off, though. What songs will you be playing? What sounds will you need? And do you need good instrument sounds. If you need top of the line sounds, Yamaha PSR-s670. If you just want a portable keyboard to bring with you to church or band gigs, the PSR-EW400/300 is great.
