Members Unalaska
The 8 buss mixer have been around a while, there seems to be quite a range of what people are asking for them. They were made for the smaller studio market and did well, but live guys liked the larger frame and good eq section, though the auxes and routing seemed not right for live use. These days the bigger recording mixers have been replaced with digital I/O and mixing is done with a DAW and a mouse, and for live use there are many many better choices. I've seen 24.8s go for as high as 1K and as low as 400-500. With age comes scratchy faders/pots, things that need fixing and can't be done easily/cheaply. Members RoadRanger
It's really too many channels for a casual weekend warrior band (get a used or new MixWiz instead) to haul around and too old (and too "Mackie" ) for anyone else to trust. OTOH plenty of folks out there think it's worth $500 so sell it to someone who doesn't know better .
