Members GilmourD
Wow, this place went straight to heck without me here the past several years... 🤪 Also, yeah, I know this is an ancient thread, but I can't leave it unanswered. Did you guys completely miss the flat quilt veneer top with faux binding revealing basswood rather than maple as well as the cheapo Schaller-style licensed Floyd rather than the Pingwell-made copy of the Gotoh licensed Floyd?? That makes this an MIK Peavey Wolfgang Special EXP (the actual model name). If it was a US Special with a top it would be flamed maple and you'd see the flame through the faux binding or it would have no top at all and just be basswood all the way through, like mine. Here's my non-flametop Special next to my BYOGuitar kit while it was in progress.
Members Leecasey
I recently bought a USA Peavey Wolfgang special. What an amazing guitar! All original, except the tremolo bar was missing. My favorite local luthier found one in a drawer in his shop. Best guitar I've eve owned!
