Members Les Paul Lover
It's a shame - it would look great with either, full natural or full blond whatever that burst colour is, but both together????? That's even worse than the old geicko burst.

Members hellion_213
That is pretty nasty looking, but I don't think it's as bad as the Zoot Suit monstrosity from a few years ago

Members hellion_213
Penguin - agreed! I'm sorry, they look like someone puked up a box of Trix and then decided a guitar would look great covered in it. For some I suppose, just not me. Members hellion_213
The more I look at it, the more I think it belongs in a Honey Lager commercial, for some reason.
Members boostpedal30
I saw/heard lots of people on utube demos and other sites saying how great that one looks, and was wondering WTF? I suspect there may be some promotion tricks going on.
Members AJ6stringsting
I got a feel that if sells poorly, it may become a collector's item with time.
Phil O'Keefe
It's not completely ideal' date=' and one can only hope that it will yellow & soften as sunlight works it's wonders with the wood.[/quote'] And the lacquer. Nitrocellulose lacquer tends to yellow and get an amber tone to it over time, which will probably also soften the overall look of the guitar as it ages. Having said that - nope, it's not my favorite finish of the currently available options either. If you want a lighter, more faded looking burst, I think the Honey Burst looks sweeter... I have a Bourbon Burst Les Paul Standard T in for review ATM and it's a nice looking color... But I have to say, the current Gibson color that is really knocking me out is Blueberry Burst. I also have a LP Standard HP here ATM (I wanted to compare the T vs HP versions for myself) and it's Blueberry Burst, and it's just stunning looking in person, with these cool purple accents that jump out when you look at it from various angles. I'd much rather have any one of those three colors than the Antique Burst shown in the OP. YMMV.
Phil O'Keefe
IMHO quirky, but kinda cool. I have no idea how well they sold, but I don't think they were a huge hit - which means they might become prized among collectors someday...
