i wouldnt plug that into two bridged IT8k's at 4ohms.

It wouldn't fit anyway!

But seeing how you mentioned IT8K's...

As a reference of what can be run off of (1) clean 20a circuit (Just last night) here is what I had:

1- IT8K running 8ohm per ch.

1- IT8K running 4ohm per ch.

2- PLX3002 running 8ohm per ch.

Never skipped a beat, not sure how much more getup & go I had before there might have been an issue but I had plenty of volume for a rock band.

Was thinking of something a little better, perhaps a Tripp or Furman product. However, I guess if you're exceeding 15 amps it doesn't matter. For a pair of IPR1600's wouldn't be an issue.

I can't see any useful purpose in placing a 15A "bottleneck" in a 20A circuit that you are using for audio amplifiers. I have never seen a 15A power strip in a "touring" amp rack

What is that called, so I can find it.

A bad idea ??? :-)

Seriously, in the right application I can see it's utility. Two IPR 1600s @ 8 ohms should work just fine.

Interesting - I'd just never seen one before.

Thanks, I learned something.
