I had gotten my first Pearl- copy set (Maxwin by Pearl) and played in front of the local music store in Mustang, Oklahoma (pic is from local town festival) where I finished high school. Back then, I took off the bottom heads because I couldn't tune right AND because the stock heads were hard to work with as well!! To celebrate 30 years with my own kit and 35 years drumming overall!! Gotta love those old newbie drum angles! Second pic is a few years later inside the music store when we started making demos and jamming on the weekends for fun with my friend who's dad owned the local music shop back when!!
