Members gismo recording Posted July 24, 2016 Members Posted July 24, 2016 I imagined a backwards keyboard where the notes were mirror image of where they are on a regular keyboard. Then I imagined if I played a chord on that keyboard, what would it actually play. So I figured out this chord mapping:B<->BbC<->AC#<->AbD<->GEb<-> F#E<->F The mapping is the same in either direction and majors change to minors and vice versa. Power chords are still power chords Now the second part of my experiment. Take a song that has only major and minor chords and substitute the inverted chords, then see if I can come up with a melody to sing the lyrics that works with the inverted chords. I found one song it worked with. I tried a few others but none of them worked. http://www.kendenny.com/music/KenDenny/InvertedSong.mp3
